The client’s rooms shared a palette: a warm stone, a mid-brown timber, brushed dark metal and a family of textured fabrics. Each category came from a different specialist, which is normal in Foshan, so the project’s job was to stop the palette drifting between factories.

Stone slabs were selected at the stone yard for veining, timber stain was matched to a physical sample rather than a code name, and fabrics were ordered from the same batch where they appeared in more than one room. Each supplier’s order carried the same finish schedule.

Quality is built in through seven checkpoints rather than inspected once at the end: material selection, incoming inspection, production monitoring, assembly inspection, final quality check, packaging verification and shipment approval. At final inspection, pieces from different factories were placed together so stone, timber and fabric could be compared side by side, not only against their own drawings.
