Spain to Foshan: Madrid or Barcelona nonstop, then tiles and furniture
Madrid flies nonstop to Guangzhou and Barcelona to Shenzhen, so a Spanish trip can start on either coast. Most Spanish orders mix furniture with tiles and bathroomware, which means the route covers more than one district.

A paid service, not a free transfer: one arrival, one vehicle, one drop-off. Parking included; tolls at cost. The credit is valid for six months from your arrival date.
Landing, then the transfer
Foshan has no international airport. The gateway you pick decides how much of your first day survives the landing.
Do not plan on the Hong Kong ferry. The Shunde Port crossing stopped on 16 July 2026 and has not restarted. Any itinerary built on that ferry is already broken.
The days on the ground
Five days is the useful minimum for a whole home or a hotel brief. Appointments are booked before you land, and each evening you get a written recap of what you saw and what is still open.
- Day 1
Land and calibrate
Arrival day. Transfer in, check in, and walk one mall so the prices stop being abstract
- Day 2
Lecong showrooms
Showroom day in Lecong — two or three options a line, every one photographed and priced
- Day 3
Longjiang factories
Factory day in Longjiang. The same sofa, without the room set around it
- Day 4
Custom work and samples
Custom work and materials. By evening you should have a written recap, not a camera roll
- Day 5
Sign-off
Confirm the shortlist, agree deposits, and leave with a signable specification
Field noteOutside the malls, touts on motorbikes offer to find you parking or a cheaper factory. Ignore them; buyers have been followed and overcharged.森森很会买, Xiaohongshu

Where the days are actually spent
Contract pieces come from factories that already build to a fire and wear standard. Mixing flooring or bathroomware into the container changes the loading plan, so it changes the route. Upholstery is where showroom prices and factory prices diverge most, so both ends are worth seeing.
Lecong 乐从
Where the trip starts: room-set showrooms, a hundred options before lunch, prices you can argue with.
Longjiang 龙江
Factory town for upholstery. The material markets behind it are where a showroom price stops being a mystery.
Nanzhuang 南庄
Tiles, ceramics and stone — the reason a container gets loaded bottom-up.
Chancheng 禅城
Downtown Foshan: a workable base, the flagship showrooms, kitchen and bath.

Where to stay
Sleep near the malls and the trip gets shorter, not cheaper.
InterContinental Foshan 佛山保利洲际酒店
The Guicheng business district, closest to Guangzhou. Sensible if the trip is stacked with supplier meetings on the Nanhai side.

Where to eat
Showroom days run long and the malls close at 18:30. These are worth walking to afterwards.

What Spanish buyers get caught on
- 01Spain is an EU market: CE where a directive applies, EUTR timber due diligence, 21% VAT on import.
- 02Valencia and Barcelona are the container ports. If the order mixes furniture with ceramics, the loading plan has to be built around weight, not volume.
- 03230 V, Type C and F. Spanish kitchens and bathrooms are a bigger share of the order than in most markets, so specify the sanitaryware standards early.
- 04Contract buyers in Madrid and Barcelona usually want the fire certificate for upholstery before the sample. Ask the factory which test it can actually supply.
- 05Nanzhuang, an hour from Lecong, is where the tiles come from. A Spanish order that includes flooring should plan a day there, not squeeze it into an afternoon.
Practical specification checks, not certification advice. Confirm current requirements with your importer or testing body.

Questions Spanish buyers ask
How long is the flight from Spain to Foshan?
About 12 to 13 hours nonstop from Madrid to Guangzhou, or Barcelona to Shenzhen, then roughly an hour by road.
Do Spanish passports need a visa for China?
No, up to 30 days. Spain is on China's unilateral visa-free list, currently valid to 31 December 2026.
Should I add a day for tiles?
If flooring or bathroomware is in the order, yes. Nanzhuang is about an hour from Lecong and the loading plan starts there.
Can furniture and tiles share a container?
Yes, if the weight is planned. Tile goes in as ballast at the bottom; a 40HQ caps around 26–28 tonnes even when the volume looks free.
How many days do I need?
Five: two in Lecong, one at the factories, one in Nanzhuang, one to sign.
Elsewhere in Europe
A neighbouring market may suit the same container. These three share the region, not the paperwork.
