Landing, then the transfer
Three doors into the Pearl River Delta. Which one you use is a fare decision; the ground leg is what moves your first showroom.
Do not plan on the Hong Kong ferry. The Shunde Port passenger service was suspended on 16 July 2026 with no restart date announced. Older guides still recommend it.

Where the days are actually spent
Hotel and resort briefs need the contract line and the factory behind it in the same day. Outdoor pieces are judged on material and finish, which is easier at the factory.

Where the trip starts: room-set showrooms, a hundred options before lunch, prices you can argue with.
Longjiang 龙江
Sofa and upholstery factories. Come here after the malls, when you want to know what the price is made of.
Dongguan 东莞
OEM and ODM factories built for export, roughly 90 minutes down the road.

Sleep near the malls and the trip gets shorter, not cheaper.

What Croatian buyers get caught on
- 01Croatia is an EU market: CE where a directive applies, EUTR timber due diligence, 25% VAT on import.
- 02Rijeka and Split are the ports. Island destinations need a second transfer by ferry, and the loading plan has to allow for it.
- 03230 V, Type C and F. Coastal salt and sun are the real specification: finishes, hardware and outdoor frames all fail earlier here.
- 04Hotel refurbishments run against a fixed opening date. Work backwards from that date through production, inspection and sailing before agreeing anything.
- 05Croatian buyers often buy for several properties in one season. A repeatable unit package with the same finish across hotels is the usual brief.
