What Cypriot buyers get caught on
- 01Cyprus is an EU market: CE where a directive applies, EUTR timber due diligence, 19% VAT on import.
- 02Type G plugs and 230 V, following the UK pattern rather than the EU one. Specify per item.
- 03Limassol is the main port. Island logistics are straightforward but the inland leg still has to be quoted, and some developments need crane access.
- 04Student accommodation and hotels need repeatable units at a controlled price. Ask for the same finish across the run, in writing.
- 05Cypriot buyers often coordinate several buildings in one order, so a single supplier with a consolidated shipment is worth more than the cheapest line.
