Landing, then the transfer
Foshan has no international airport. The gateway you pick decides how much of your first day survives the landing.
Do not plan on the Hong Kong ferry. That route closed in July 2026 with no published reopening. Road or high-speed rail is the way in.

What South African buyers get caught on
- 01South Africa requires NRCS registration for regulated electrical goods, and SABS standards are cited by most retailers. Confirm which applies to your line before production.
- 0215% VAT on import plus duty, and the inland leg to Gauteng is quoted separately because it changes the assessable value.
- 03230 V, Type M and N. South Africa is one of the few markets with its own large three-pin Type M, so specify both.
- 04Durban and Cape Town are the container ports. Johannesburg is inland and adds a rail or road leg, which is where cheap freight quotes go wrong.
- 05South African buyers often resell into the region, so the specification has to survive more than one set of import rules.
