Denmark to Foshan: one stop, and a visit that ends in samples
Copenhagen has no nonstop to China, so a Danish trip is a committed one. It pays off if the brief is narrow: Danish buyers arrive with opinions about joinery, hardware and repairability, and they want samples before deposits.

14–16 h in the air, then about an hour of motorway. A 06:40 landing still leaves the afternoon.

A paid service, not a free transfer: one arrival, one vehicle, one drop-off. Parking included; tolls at cost. The credit is valid for six months from your arrival date.
Landing, then the transfer
Three doors into the Pearl River Delta. Which one you use is a fare decision; the ground leg is what moves your first showroom.
Do not plan on the Hong Kong ferry. That route closed in July 2026 with no published reopening. Road or high-speed rail is the way in.
The days on the ground
Four days is the working minimum for anything beyond a single category. Appointments are booked before you land, and each evening you get a written recap of what you saw and what is still open.
- Day 1
Land and calibrate
Land, transfer, rest — then a short walk through Lecong to calibrate prices
- Day 2
Lecong showrooms
Showroom day in Lecong — two or three options a line, every one photographed and priced
- Day 3
Factories behind the malls
Today belongs to the workshops, in Longjiang or Nanzhuang
- Day 4
Samples and sign-off
Samples, custom pieces, then sign off and leave with a specification
Field noteA taxi across Lecong is roughly the flag-fall. It is cheaper than it feels and much faster than walking between blocks.老杨聊皮料, Xiaohongshu
Field noteShunlian North is the upscale block: sofas there run from about ¥10,000 to ¥50,000. Shunlian South is the budget end and needs closer inspection.琳琳聊家具, Xiaohongshu
Where the days are actually spent
Cabinetry pulls the route towards the workshop districts rather than the malls.
Lecong 乐从
Trading malls and room-set showrooms. A hundred sofas in a morning, priced retail-facing. The shortlist starts here.
Longjiang 龙江
Factory town for upholstery. The material markets behind it are where a showroom price stops being a mystery.
Chancheng 禅城
Downtown Foshan: a workable base, the flagship showrooms, kitchen and bath.

Where to stay
Where you sleep decides how much of the day you spend in a car.
Sofitel Foshan 佛山罗浮宫索菲特酒店

What Danish buyers get caught on
- 01Denmark is an EU market: CE where a directive applies, EUTR timber due diligence, 25% VAT on import.
- 02Denmark keeps its own Type K socket alongside the EU Type C/F. Specify both per item — this is one of the few markets where the plug is genuinely local.
- 03Danish buyers ask about repairability more than most: replaceable covers, serviceable hardware, spare parts availability. Put it in the specification, not the sales pitch.
- 04Copenhagen is the port; the inland leg is short. Consolidation with other Nordic buyers is common because volumes are small.
- 05The useful output of a Danish trip is a model room, not a catalogue. Budget for samples to be shipped home before the deposit.
Practical specification checks, not certification advice. Confirm current requirements with your importer or testing body.

Questions Danish buyers ask
How do I get from Denmark to Foshan?
No nonstop. Copenhagen connects via Helsinki, Doha or Istanbul, then Guangzhou — 14 to 16 hours door to door.
Do Danish passports need a visa for China?
No, up to 30 days. Denmark is on China's unilateral visa-free list, currently valid to 31 December 2026.
Why does the Type K plug matter?
Denmark keeps its own socket. If you specify only the EU Type C/F, the pieces arrive unusable in Danish homes.
Can I get samples before the deposit?
Yes, and Danish buyers usually should. Budget a courier box home and judge the finish there, not under showroom light.
How many days do I need?
Four, built around one or two categories rather than a full house.
Elsewhere in Europe
Buyers who come to Foshan rarely come alone: a household or a hotel brief often spans two markets.
