Landing, then the transfer
Foshan has no international airport. The gateway you pick decides how much of your first day survives the landing.
Do not plan on the Hong Kong ferry. The Shunde Port crossing stopped on 16 July 2026 and has not restarted. Any itinerary built on that ferry is already broken.

Contract pieces come from factories that already build to a fire and wear standard. Hotel and resort briefs need the contract line and the factory behind it in the same day.

Longjiang 龙江
Sofa and upholstery factories. Come here after the malls, when you want to know what the price is made of.
Chancheng 禅城
Downtown Foshan: a workable base, the flagship showrooms, kitchen and bath.
Dongguan 东莞
OEM and ODM factories built for export, roughly 90 minutes down the road.

What Thai buyers get caught on
- 01Thailand applies 7% VAT on import plus duty by commodity code. The rate is low, so freight and consolidation dominate the landed cost.
- 02TIS standards apply to many products, and electrical goods need the Thai mark. Confirm the category before production.
- 03230 V, Type A, B and C. Thai installations mix the flat-pin and round-pin patterns, so specify which the project uses.
- 04Laem Chabang is the port, with a short inland leg to Bangkok. Island and resort deliveries add a road or ferry leg.
- 05Condo and café fit-outs are fast and repeatable. A unit package that holds the finish across floors is the usual brief.
