Resort and beach-club procurement / Specify the exposure

For a resort or beach club buying outdoor furniture from Foshan, qualify the actual maker, freeze the frame/finish/fastener/fabric specification, test the relevant product assembly and confirm the packed load before approving a bulk order. A 250-sunbed quantity does not establish a standard price, MOQ, two-container load or service life. Use matched quotations and a documented sample-to-shipment plan.

Updated 30 October 2026. The numerical example is a planning scenario, not an actual beach-club invoice, current FOB quote or evidence that the photographed residential furniture is contract-grade.

01 / A complete offer needs a defined construction

What could a bulk order of 250 sunbeds cost?

Request an itemised USD quote for the actual model, dimensions, frame, finish, reclining mechanism, wheels, sling/weave, cushions and export packing. Compare 50/100/250/500 accepted units against the same specification. No verified market-wide 12–20% quantity discount or current aluminium/rope/HDPE/teak FOB price band is established in this guide.

Other goods starts at USD 3,825 for the side-table and umbrella assumptions. No base or wind engineering is included by that label. This count uses aggregate volume, not an approved stack/weight plan. Freight, taxes, independent testing, site work and other unpriced scope are excluded, not free.

Umbrella bases, wind management, anchoring, engineering and local placement are not established by the USD 180 allowance. Price them against the actual site and use. The model’s other-goods default is USD 3,825 for the tables/umbrellas above; quantities and packing must be updated if the sunbed count or accessory scope changes.

Unknown testing, origin charges beyond the stated allocation, freight, insurance, duty/tax, brokerage, port/island transfer, delivery, assembly and maintenance costs remain excluded, not free. Source Foshan’s published service policy states 3–5% on an agreed basis, no supplier commissions and orders from USD 10,000 in goods; confirm actual scope, fee and timing in the proposal.

A comparison with a European or local outdoor brand needs matched materials, test evidence, delivery and remedy scope. A low online price or different silhouette cannot establish savings. Separate the goods offer from the complete import-versus-local comparison.

02 / “Outdoor” is not a complete performance specification

Aluminium, rope, HDPE, wicker or teak: what should you specify?

Describe salt spray, direct sun, pool chemicals, rainfall, cleaning products, standing water, guest traffic, wind, storage and maintenance. Materials work as an assembly: frame, coating, fasteners, contact points, sling/weave, cushion and drainage. There is no universal longest-lasting material ranking or five/ten-year life guarantee in this article.

Material questions for comparable resort offers
OptionSpecify and verifyPractical questions
Aluminium with sling or weaveActual alloy/temper, section/wall dimensions, welds, preparation and coating systemWhat is the evidence for the chosen finish, joints and actual coastal use?
Rope or synthetic wickerPolymer/fibre identification, construction, tension, attachment, UV and cleaning referencesCan damaged sections be replaced? Does a brand claim match the supplied product?
HDPE / polymer boardsActual material, reinforcement/fasteners, thermal movement, UV and load evidenceAre supports and clearances designed for the intended temperature and use?
Teak or other timberSpecies/origin, actual component quality, drying/conditioning, joints and finishWhat movement, maintenance and appearance change are expected in this exposure?
Steel or mixed metalsSubstrate/protection, weld treatment, fastener grades and contact isolationWhere can corrosion start, and what inspection/maintenance is required?
Cushion / coveringFoam construction, cover/fabric code, seams, zips, drainage and applicable fire requirementsHow will the whole cushion dry, be cleaned, stored and replaced?

Do not infer a safe load from a 1.5 mm tube claim, or treat 6063-T5, 304/316 stainless or a coating thickness as a universal sufficient specification. Record the chosen values and material evidence, then evaluate the actual design, galvanic compatibility, finish and end-use tests with the responsible supplier/professional. No one fastener grade makes every assembly immune to salt-water corrosion.

Six outdoor chairs placed on a Toronto residential terrace
Six outdoor chairs on a Toronto residential terrace, 25 August 2026. A home placement photograph does not establish resort-use suitability or a 250-sunbed delivery.

Ask for the exact Sunbrella, Agora, Batyline or other specified material identity and applicable supplier documentation; a logo or colour name is insufficient. Product warranties and maintenance duties vary. Sunbrella’s own care explanation notes that dirt/debris can allow mould or mildew on fabric even where the fabric is resistant. A branded cover does not make the whole cushion waterproof, maintenance-free or suitable for any fire requirement.

03 / Shortlist the relevant operation

How do you choose a Chinese outdoor-furniture manufacturer?

Use a product-specific shortlist rather than an unsupported “best factory” ranking. Lecong showrooms can help compare samples; production visits should target the actual operation making the order. A town address or factory label is not proof of in-house welding, coating, weaving, timber work or acceptable batch control.

  1. Identify parties: legal seller, actual maker, production location, exporter and proposed corporate beneficiary.
  2. Check capability: relevant live work, equipment/processes, outsourced stages, current capacity and material traceability.
  3. Compare one specification: the same dimensions, construction, mechanism, fabric, finish, quantity and packing in each quote.
  4. Qualify the sample: approve physical material/finish references and the first piece, with relevant test evidence.
  5. Agree batch control: reference codes, change approvals, inspection coverage, corrections and release authority.
  6. Confirm continuity: replacement slings, glides, hardware, cushions and finish codes, with availability and price terms.

Ask for comparable commercial projects only with relevant evidence and permission. A resort photograph, management-system certificate or social audit is not a chair/sunbed performance result. This article establishes no Source Foshan resort-project count, 250-bed case history, factory network size or inspection defect-rate statistic.

Choose original or authorised designs and agree use of your drawings, prototypes and tooling. A “same as brand X” listing needs a rights check, not a promise that buying through an agent removes the importer’s risk. The custom order process explains the approval and ownership questions.

04 / Test method, specimen and acceptance criterion

What evidence supports commercial safety and weather resistance?

ال EN 581 series addresses outdoor furniture for camping, domestic and contract use: general safety, seating mechanics and table mechanics have separate parts. BSI lists 2026 mechanical editions. Have the lab identify the exact applicable part/edition, intended category, configuration, specimen and results. A report for a different chair, fabric or joint does not automatically cover your sunbed.

ASTM B117-26 describes salt-spray apparatus practice and cautions against predicting natural-environment performance from stand-alone results. “1,000 hours passed” is incomplete without the specimen, preparation, exposure, evaluation and acceptance criteria. It cannot be translated into a fixed number of beach-club years. Likewise, agree the actual UV/weathering method and evaluation; an unqualified “UV resistant” claim is not a result.

قيد الإنتاجMaterial/process traceability, visible joints, preparation and substitutionsChoose a stage where the agreed features are still inspectable
Finished goodsOperation, stability, finish, sling/weave, fasteners, cushions and carton identityRecord units/sample coverage, methods, findings and untested features

If using ISO 2859-1:2026, agree the lot, regime, inspection level, defect classes/AQLs, sample size and acceptance/rejection rules. Level II or AQL 2.5 alone is not a complete plan, a check of every unit or approval to ship known hazards. Visual QC cannot replace mechanical, fire, corrosion or other required laboratory evidence.

Define project-specific checks with suitable instruments and competent personnel. Do not invent universal coating/tube minima, foam density, abrasion count, moisture content or laboratory fee/turnaround. The inspection/rework case is useful for distinguishing correction status from final release, rather than promising every order is flawless.

05 / Nesting, cushions and accessories change the load

How many sunbeds fit in a 40 HQ?

Get a measured packing trial for the actual model. A nested stack or KD assembly can use different space from individually boxed, assembled furniture; dividing nominal volume by a product’s external dimensions is unreliable. Include carton protection, stack clearances, spare parts, cushion boxes, umbrellas/bases and weight distribution.

Maersk lists 76.4 m³ nominal volume for 40 HQ. At an assumed 80% planning utilisation, this model uses 61.12 m³. The default 250 × 0.35 m³ plus 10 m³ accessories is 97.5 m³, or two HQs by aggregate volume. At 0.18 m³ per bed it becomes 55 m³, or one; at 0.65 it becomes 172.5 m³, or three. These are hypothetical packing inputs, not measured material-specific capacities.

Cartons and timber-framed furniture crates in the Sydney project warehouse
Sydney residential project warehouse record, photograph undated. Crate and carton handling must still be specified and checked for each new order.

A load must also meet actual internal/door dimensions, safe stacking, the specific container’s plate, route/road weight rules and handling access. Mixing room or restaurant furniture is possible only if readiness, compatibility and receiving terms align. No free-storage days or universal “consolidation takes three days” commitment is assumed.

For Maldives, Caribbean or other island projects, ask for named port/site, transshipment, terminal equipment, unpacking labour, local vehicle/boat limits, storage and final handover. Obtain current offers; no verified destination shipment history or fixed ocean freight range is claimed here. See LCL/FCL comparison و shipping responsibility scope.

06 / MOQ and reopening dates are contractual

Can a resort mix items, and how long should it allow?

Ask each factory for minimums by model, finish, material purchase and upholstery batch, plus sample/tooling charges and any credit conditions. A 250-bed headline quantity does not establish acceptance of every colour split. Mixed consolidation does not waive a supplier’s MOQ. Ask for first-order or phased quantities against actual offers, not a fixed small-order surcharge.

A purely illustrative sequential programme is quote/specification 1–2 weeks, sample/test/approval 2–4, production 6–9, inspection/corrections 1–2, receiving/packing/booking 1–2, ocean routing 3–7, clearance/final site handover 1–2: 15–28 weeks before extra risk allowances. It is not a measured 250-bed average or a promised island opening date. Get the current supplier, lab, holiday/restart and carrier programme.

If 50 beds are needed for an initial pool area and 200 later, qualify the same finish/material batch and quote each shipment’s duplicated costs, storage and installation readiness. Approving a sample, releasing a production batch and authorising a partial shipment are different decisions. The hotel/property package guide connects outdoor and room schedules.

07 / Name the remedy before the first salt-air season

Which documents and warranty terms belong in the order?

Agree contract/PI, item specification, drawings/sample references, inspection/correction records, commercial invoice, packing list and transport documents. Add actual product/test/material records and destination origin requirements. ISPM 15 concerns raw-wood packaging; a treated pallet does not certify furniture quality, and processed-wood packaging and product biosecurity have separate scope.

Specify warranty by component and intended commercial/coastal use: frame, finish, fabric, sling/weave, mechanisms, cushion and hardware. Record corrosion/UV exclusions, maintenance obligations, claim evidence and notice periods, response milestones, parts availability, remedy and who pays repair labour or additional freight. There is no universal two-year frame warranty, free return or standard 2–3% spare-parts package established here.

Separate a maker’s warranty from any fabric maker’s warranty and from cargo insurance. Confirm policy/claim terms and insured interest; a generic “all risks” phrase does not guarantee every loss. On arrival, note delivery exceptions, retain item/carton identifiers, approved references and photos/video, and notify the relevant parties promptly. The التزاماتنا في الخدمة و warranty planning guide explain practical cross-border remedies.

Resort and beach-club sourcing questions

Where should I look for outdoor suppliers in Foshan?

Use selected showrooms to compare products, then qualify the actual production operation for the chosen model. Confirm seller/maker roles and relevant processes rather than assuming every business in a named town manufactures outdoor furniture.

Can you quote 250 sunbeds with cushions and umbrellas?

Send dimensions, references, intended commercial exposure, frame/finish/fabric requirements, quantities/colour splits, destination postcode or port and usable date. Agree comparable offers and response timing after scope review. The calculator is a planning illustration, not the offer.

Which material lasts longest in salt air?

There is no universal ranking here. Assess the actual material/finish/fastener/cushion assembly, exposure, tests and maintenance. A metal grade, UV claim or salt-spray hour count alone does not predict years of service.

Can you follow hotel furniture drawings?

Provide the item schedule, CAD/PDF revisions, physical finish/fabric references, intended use and required evidence. Agree factory detailing, sample/test costs, approval milestones and any sample credit before production.

How much cheaper is importing than a European outdoor brand?

Compare matched specification, performance evidence and complete delivery/remedy scope using current offers. No verified percentage saving follows from the illustrative goods model.

What is the service fee and payment schedule?

The published policy is 3–5% on an agreed goods/order-value basis, with actual scope, minimum/fixed fees and timing in the written proposal. Confirm payees and release conditions; a 30/70 factory split or escrow is not automatic.

Can a shipment reach an island resort?

Obtain a current route and named final handover from the responsible providers. Include feeder/transshipment, port/site handling, unloading, local transport and installation. No existing island project record or guaranteed transit is established by this article.

Which defects should I plan to prevent?

Potential issues include coating damage, corrosion at joints, wrong fasteners, mechanism faults, loose weave, poor drainage and damaged packing. Define prevention and acceptance per model; this is a checklist, not a statistical defect ranking.
