Foshan to Orange County: A Full Container Unloaded at 09:41, Every Room Furnished by 21:48 — Same Day

A container at the kerb is not furniture in the house. It is 70 cubic metres of crates that have to come off a truck, cross a driveway, be opened, assembled, carried to the right room and have their packaging taken away — before dinner, if the client is lucky. This Orange County delivery was scoped that way from the start, and it finished at 21:48 with the dining table set. Source Foshan placed the order across several Foshan factories, consolidated it into this container and ran the delivery day.

The 40-foot box arrived on a chassis and was worked directly at the house. Inside, every piece was in a timber-braced crate or a caged frame — the marble tops and the bed frame crated hard, the upholstery wrapped and caged so nothing bore on the fabric. The crates came off by ramp, one man to a corner.

Questions buyers ask about container delivery to a house
Can a 40-foot container be delivered to a residential address?
Often, yes — on a chassis, if the street and driveway allow. Where they do not, the contents are transloaded to a box truck (see our Los Angeles case). Either way, on a Source Foshan project the crew that unloads also uncrates, assembles and clears the packaging.
How long does it take to unload and install a container of furniture?
Here, one day: container open at 09:41, first crate off at 09:54, last room finished at 21:48 on 22 August 2026. Time depends on the number of pieces, how many need assembly and access to the house.
What is included in “door-to-door” for furniture from Foshan?
