Egypt’s system works shipment by shipment: the importer requests the ACID, the exporter files, and the paperwork has to agree.

What is the ACID and who requests it?
The ACID is the identification number issued for each shipment under Egypt’s Advance Cargo Information system. Your Egyptian importer requests it on Nafeza; on approval it is emailed to the importer and the foreign exporter.
When must the documents be ready?
At least 48 hours before the cargo ships from the export country. We plan production, packing and loading so the file is complete before the sailing, not after.
What if the exporter is not on CargoX yet?
The foreign exporter needs a verified CargoX account to submit an Egyptian ACI file. We do the verification before the first shipment, so it never holds a loaded container.
Can I ship by air?
Yes, with a shorter window: for air cargo the importer or broker submits the basic shipment data at least 8 hours before the aircraft leaves the export airport. Most furniture orders go by sea, where the 48-hour rule applies.
¿Puedo comprar a distancia?
Yes. Supplier comparisons, photo and video reviews, samples and written approvals all work from a clear brief. A Foshan visit can be planned around the same room schedule if you travel.

A floor plan or furniture list, the delivery address in Egypt, your product budget and the date the property can receive goods. Add the importer’s Nafeza details if they are already registered.
