- A second-generation furniture factory owner rebuilt his family’s quotation sheet around what buyers need: picture, item code, description, materials, dimensions, carton size, gross and net weight and CBM.
- A Foshan custom-cabinet factory in Shishan, Nanhai, quotes RMB 598 to RMB 1,180 per m² of front area depending on the board brand.
- The same factory quotes 20–30 days of production once CAD drawings are frozen, plus 2–3 days to install locally.
- A Hangzhou cabinet maker’s price list runs from RMB 688 to RMB 980 per m², with named-brand hinges and runners, one free drawer per 3 m² and LED strips at RMB 80 per metre.
Most Foshan factories will send a catalogue when asked, but a catalogue price is only a starting point. To get a quotation you can compare, send each factory the same brief — item, dimensions, materials, finish, quantity, destination and packing — and ask for a quote that lists item code, full material description, unit price, carton size, weights and volume in CBM for every line. Custom cabinets and wardrobes are usually priced per square metre of front area, so compare the board and hardware behind each rate.
How do you get a furniture catalogue from a Foshan factory?
Ask directly — most factories and showrooms will send a PDF catalogue by message — but ask for one with item codes and dimensions, not just styled photos. The comment threads under Foshan showroom posts are full of readers asking for the catalogue and receiving it privately. What you want is a catalogue you can quote from: every item with a code, its dimensions and its standard materials.
Not every factory has one. A second-generation owner who took over his family’s furniture factory in Fujian describes the old paperwork as too simple for today’s buyers and taught himself layout software to rebuild both. His new catalogue groups coffee tables, consoles and cabinets by series, each with a code and size. If a factory’s catalogue is only mood photos, expect its quote to be vague too.
Longjiang’s upholstery makers are a common first stop for catalogues; see مصانع الأرائك والتنجيد في لونغجيانغ، ومع دليل مُصنّعي الأثاث في فوشان for where else to ask.

What should you send to get an accurate furniture quotation from China?
Send the same one-page brief per item to every factory, so the quotes differ only in price and not in what is being priced.
- Item code from their catalogue, or a reference photo with the changes you want.
- Dimensions, with tolerances that matter to you.
- Materials: frame or board, cover or veneer, foam, stone, metal.
- Finish and colour, with a code if possible.
- Hardware brand and model, if relevant.
- Quantity per item and in total.
- Destination country and whether goods will be consolidated.
- Packing: export cartons, crating, knock-down or assembled.
Ask for the quote to state its validity period, deposit and balance terms, and lead time.

A catalogue price is an invitation, not an offer. The number that matters is the one written against your specification with carton volumes attached. Freight is charged by the cubic metre, so a quote without CBM hides the second-biggest cost of your order — ask for volumes before you ask for a discount.
What does a good furniture quotation from China include?
One line per item, with enough detail that an inspector could check the finished piece against it and a forwarder could price the freight from it. The Fujian factory’s rebuilt quotation is a good model. Each line carries:
| مجال | لماذا يهم هذا الأمر |
|---|---|
| Product picture and item code | Ties the price to one specific design |
| الوصف | Style, top and base materials and finish — for example plywood with bone inlay on a black-painted stainless base |
| أبعاد | The size you are paying for |
| Unit and quantity | Avoids set-versus-piece confusion |
| Carton size, gross and net weight | Needed for packing lists and handling |
| Volume (CBM) | Freight is charged by volume; without it you cannot estimate landed cost |

The 396 and 270 comments under the two cabinet price lists are mostly about what the rate leaves out.
- Is it a teaser rate? A reader asks the Hangzhou maker whether its headline rate applies only to some colours; the reply is that all colours are included — worth asking of any headline price.
- Extras are in the details. Grooved handles on premium board cost extra, the Hangzhou maker confirms; under the Foshan post a reader asks whether drawer glass counts as an add-on.
- What the rate includes. The Hangzhou maker confirms its rate covers hardware and installation — true for a local job, not for an export order, where fitting is replaced by packing.
- Can we see the factory? Asked whether visitors can tour the plant, the Foshan maker says yes and gives its town, Shishan — a quote from a factory that welcomes visits is easier to verify.
How are custom cabinets priced in a China furniture price list?
Usually per square metre of front (projected) area, with the rate set by the board and door material — so two rates are only comparable if the board, hardware and extras behind them match. Two cabinet makers in our research publish their rates:
- A Foshan factory in Shishan, Nanhai lists rates by board brand from RMB 598 to RMB 1,180 per m², all rated ENF or F4-star for emissions, with PUR or laser edge-banding. Production takes 20–30 calendar days once CAD drawings are frozen.
- A Hangzhou maker quotes RMB 688 to RMB 980 per m² depending on the board, across ten board-and-door combinations on its price list, including named-brand hinges and runners, one drawer per 3 m² (extra drawers RMB 150 each) and LED strips at RMB 80 a metre, with a 30-day lead time and local installation included.
Both are domestic prices built around local jobs fitted by the maker’s own teams; an export quote replaces fitting with packing and loading. Before accepting any rate, confirm that the board really is the brand quoted — كيفية التحقق من مصنع أثاث صيني explains how buyers check. Our خزائن المطبخ page covers export cabinet projects.

How do you compare quotes from different Foshan factories?
Put them in one table against your brief, line by line, and price the gaps before you compare totals.
- Normalise the spec. If one factory quoted a lower foam density or a cheaper board, ask it to re-quote to your brief.
- List the extras. Glass, special handles, lighting, installation and packing are where totals drift.
- Compare volumes. Two sofas at the same price can differ noticeably in carton volume, and therefore in freight.
- Check the terms. Deposit, balance trigger, lead time and validity.
Our article on Foshan factory pricing traps lists the most common gaps, and the دليلنا لفحص الأثاث shows how the quote becomes the checklist at inspection.

كيف تتعامل Source Foshan مع ذلك
We turn catalogues into comparable quotes. For each item we write one specification, send it to two or three makers across Lecong, Longjiang, Shunde or Dongguan, and show you the results side by side — materials, extras, carton volumes and terms — so the cheapest line is also a like-for-like line. Once you choose, options and the signed-off spec are confirmed by photo and video, production is tracked weekly, and everything is inspected before loading. Our 3–5% fee appears as a separate line from the factory price and is agreed before any factory is contacted.
If you would rather browse a finished catalogue than build one, we recommend Arcaya Living: more than 10,000 pieces sourced to confirmed specifications, organised by room and style, plus a whole-home service for custom cabinetry with production follow-up, delivery and installation.
