Furniture quote & BOQ

A filled specification example you can adapt to a room, a small order or a whole-home brief.

Illustrative example. These proposed specifications are not a customer project, approved design or supplier quotation. All prices, shipping costs, duties and service fees remain to be quoted.

1. Identify each item

Example reference: DEMO-LIVING-01. All dimensions below are proposed overall dimensions in millimetres. Confirm measurement method, tolerances, construction and samples with the supplier before approval.

Illustrative loose-furniture schedule
Item codeItemQtyW × D × HProposed material / finishRevision / status
LR-01Three-seat sofa12200 × 950 × 800 mmProposed hardwood frame; supplier to specify species and construction
Ecru woven fabric; physical sample pending
R02 · For review
LR-02Lounge chair2800 × 850 × 760 mmProposed timber frame and upholstered seat; construction to confirm
Natural timber and coordinating fabric; samples pending
R01 · For review
LR-03Coffee table11200 × 600 × 380 mmProposed veneer top; substrate and edge construction to confirm
Warm oak tone; finish sample pending
R01 · For review

A loose-furniture enquiry can stand on its own. Cabinetry, renovation and other trades should be included only when requested and separately scoped.

2. Keep changes and approval separate

Example change: LR-01 moves from a proposed 2400 mm width in R01 to 2200 mm in R02 after a room-clearance review. The price impact and lead time still need supplier confirmation.

Current status: For review. A revision number is not approval. Record the named approver, approval date, exact revision, agreed sample and price before production. Do not substitute a material or dimension without a new review.

3. Request every cost line

Workbook amounts use USD as an editable example currency. Confirm one currency, destination city and ZIP, delivery level, shipment scope, quotation date and validity before comparing offers.

Unknown does not mean free. Keep an unknown amount blank and mark it awaiting quote. Enter 0 only when a written quotation confirms no charge or not applicable. The workbook leaves the complete total blank until every goods price and cost line has a numeric amount. Conditional charges still need their triggers recorded.
