After-Sales in Singapore: Three On-Site Repairs — Wine Cabinet, Bookcase, Dining Table — Each Fixed and Signed Off Within Two Hours
In short
- 01
Three pieces from Foshan showed damage after delivery in Singapore: a cracked top edge on a wine cabinet, a cracked door frame on a bookcase, and a split support on a dining table base.
- 02
Each was repaired on site — filled, re-coloured and refinished — not shipped back or written off. The wine cabinet took 70 minutes (13:05 → 14:15), the bookcase 22 minutes (15:18 → 15:40), the table base 74 minutes (16:10 → 17:24).
- 03
Each repair ended with a signed after-sales service form; on all three the client ticked Very Satisfied.
- 04
This is the part of buying from Foshan that most buyers cannot get from a factory 3,000 km away: someone who turns up, fixes it and signs it off.
Furniture gets damaged in transit. The question is who turns up afterwards. A buyer who orders directly from a Foshan factory usually finds out the answer the hard way: a WeChat photo, an offer of a small refund, and a cracked cabinet. On these three Singapore deliveries the answer was an after-sales technician at the door, three repairs done in place, and three signed forms. Source Foshan sourced these pieces in Foshan, shipped them, and sent the technician who repaired them.
Photographs taken on site by the after-sales technician on 13 and 15 August 2026; the clock stamps are from the site camera. Client names, phone numbers and addresses on the service forms are redacted. Published by Source Foshan as a project note.
The top edge of a walnut wine cabinet had cracked along the grain on arrival. The technician masked the area, filled the crack, sanded it back and colour-matched the finish to the surrounding veneer. First photo 13:05; finished 14:15; form signed 14:20.

A glass-fronted bookcase had a crack in the timber door frame. Repaired and refinished in place in 22 minutes, doors rehung and the books back on the shelves before the technician left. First photo 15:18; finished 15:40; form signed 16:42 after the client had used the doors.

The support inside a solid-wood dining table base had split open. Glued, clamped, filled and refinished so that the joint is stronger than the original. First photo 16:10; in progress 16:30; finished 17:24; form signed 17:30.

Send us the quotation you were given. We will tell you what is missing from it.
A free second look from a local team that reads Foshan quotations every week: unit specs, add-on risks, packing and freight lines, payment terms. No commitment.
- Damage is reported, then fixed — not argued about
The client sends a photo; we book the technician. Nobody is asked to prove whose fault it was before it gets repaired.
- Repair in place wherever possible
Veneer, solid wood and finish work can almost always be done in the home. Shipping a piece back to Foshan is the last resort, not the first offer.
- Timed and documented
Every repair is photographed before, during and after with a site camera, so the client, the factory and we are looking at the same evidence.
- Closed with a signature
The job ends with a service form the client signs. Three out of three ticked Very Satisfied.
Questions buyers ask about after-sales on Foshan furniture
What happens if furniture from Foshan arrives damaged?
Send us photos. For finish, veneer and solid-wood damage we book an on-site repair; the three Singapore repairs here took 22–74 minutes each. Replacement is arranged where a repair is not appropriate. Our QC and shipping guide explains the inspection report that records the piece’s condition before it ships.
Do you offer after-sales service outside China?
Yes, through our delivery and service partners in the destination markets we ship to — Singapore in this case. Ask us about coverage for your city when you start a project.
Is the repair as good as the original?
For edge cracks, frame cracks and split supports the repair is filled, glued and refinished to match; a glued and clamped joint is generally stronger than the original. Each repair is photographed and signed off by the client.
Planning a Foshan order that has to arrive assembled, not just arrive?
