Foshan to Australia: Crates on the Driveway at 11:26, Every Piece Carried Upstairs, Assembled and Set by 19:58

A two-storey house in Australia ordered dining, kitchen and bedroom furniture in Foshan: a marble-top dining table, a black dining table with six chairs, a marble kitchen island with green stools, an upholstered bed with mattress and a clothes rack, plus a slab table and cabinets.

Every piece travelled in a braced timber crate. Crates came off the container onto a tail-lift, were opened on the driveway at 11:26 and carried in by a three-man crew — the heavy slab pieces up the staircase by hand.

By 19:58 the same day the tables, island, bed and rack were assembled and in their rooms and the packaging was gone.

Stairs are the part of a delivery nobody quotes for. On this job they were in the scope, with the crew sized for them.
Two floors, no lift, and a slab table that does not bend. The first piece through the door at 16:29 was a crated slab. Nothing on this job could have been “kerbside”.
- Crated for the stairs, not just the sea
Braced timber around every slab and cabinet means the piece can be tilted and walked up a staircase without a corner giving way.
- Container → tail-lift → driveway
Where a container cannot reach the house it is worked at the kerb and the crates staged outside — opened there, not in the hallway.
- A crew sized for the house
Two storeys and no lift means three people and floor protection, written into the delivery scope before the ship sails.
- Packaging leaves with the crew
Crates, wrap and cardboard went back on the truck at 19:58.

Does Australia need special packaging for furniture from China?
